Frens @ ‘Telecom Billing Strategies in the IMS’

On 17 and 18 April 2008 the workshop ‘Telecom Billing Strategies in the IMS’ takes places, a workshop on the topic of Charging and Billing for the IMS, organised by ETIS. The workshop will be held in the Management Centre Europe in Brussels. I will give a presentation on 17 March titled “Convergence 3.0 – Bridging Online and Offline Charging?”.

In this presentation I give a view on the future of Charging for the IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem). The telecommunications industry is changing and billing is one of the key components that will make or brake the commercial viability of new services enabled by the IMS. Also Billing will have to adapt to the new enriched service experience by end-users. I will show possibilities for Charging and Billing for the IMS and show some hurdles which still need to be taken.
